Pantone selected Monaco Blue as a trending colour for Spring 2013. As with most trends in the fashion industry, they tend to trickle down to every facet of life and influence what we’re going to use to rejuvenate a space.

When it comes to boys we believe blue is always in style. Monaco Blue is a delicious inky blue that is both classic and modern at the same time. It will add a calm, soothing touch to a room plus it pairs well with practically any other colour.

Add a punch of colour by pairing it with Poppy Red to help make the space feel warm and inviting.

We also love the idea of combining this look with bright white, neutrals like soft greys and also natural woods.

Bring a new energy into the room by decorating with a pop of colour in an unexpected place, such as a ceiling, a feature wall, inside a bookshelf or on a few cupboards. Painting a feature wall Monaco Blue, will certainly make a bold statement! If you are utilising furniture in natural wood finishes or white, an eye-catching, darker accent wall will be a great way to help make these pieces stand out.
