Additional Information

Specialists in children’s bedroom furniture since 1960. The Stompa trademark was established in 1960 by a family business originally founded in 1906 in Norway. A good reputation for its bunk beds was soon built and from the 60’s the family focused on producing good quality children’s beds and furniture. Stompa enjoyed great success in Scandinavia for many years and in 1980 was introduced into the UK and soon became a well known household name in the market. In recent years Stompa has gone through a number of changes both in production and ownership. The Stompa brand is now British/Danish owned and is a family run business situated in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Production has moved to Stompa’s main, original sub supplier in Estonia where long standing carpentry traditions are combined with the latest efficient manufacturing techniques. The ethos of the company still remains the same; they aim to make small rooms larger and to offer children’s beds and furniture with unique features. The goal is to appeal to children and parents through good design, long lasting quality with safety at the top of the list.
