Nest COVID-19 Continuity Plan

Many things are changing in the world around us, as we collectively learn to operate in conditions that evolve from hour-to-hour.

Here at Nest, we have put contingency plans in place that allow us to balance the health & well-being of our Nest family and our commitment to our customers.

Nest is a small business operating outside of a traditional bricks and mortar retail environment. As Nest is online only, our exposure so far has been minimal. We continue to rigorously follow all health and safety protocols prescribed by the government.

We have developed a sensible business continuity plan on which we are relying, in response to changing alert levels around the world.

At this point in time, Nest is pleased to share that we still have good levels of stock in our business. However it is important to note that there has been some impact of COVID-19 on our supply chains, due to planned factory closures in Europe in support of efforts to control the virus.

Whilst production is steadily recovering it is important to make customers aware of the fact that we are experiencing some supply shortages on certain finished products. We will always strive to offer as much visibility as possible on the status of our inventory but as we manage the increase in supplier variability certain lead-times may be affected.

Vessels do continue to dock in Durban bringing us lots of exciting new goods and many of your favourites too. We also have some proudly South African locally-made items.

As a result of COVID-19, certain ports are experiencing berthing delays due to port congestion. We are in continuous communication with our shipping services, receiving daily information regarding ETA of our shipments. We thank you for your patience and for extending time whilst this backlog at the ports is sorted out.

Our office is fully functional. Our online store is live. So sit back, support social distancing and shop over 600 products for your kids from the comfort of your own home. Payment is easy and secure. We will deliver your order directly to your door with our reliable courier service. Drivers have been instructed not to make physical contact with any customers and to maintain a safe distance.
