Our fabulous bedding supplier SNURK, cherishes a love of handcraft themes in their much-loved photo prints. Crafting their styles by hand allows their designers to create unexpected textures, influence colour palettes and have the chance to play around with optical illusions – often with the help of freelance artists. It is a long creative process from idea to photo print, with many hours of handcraft in between.

Take a look at the creation of our best selling Ballerina Duvet design.

Step 1. The Snurk design team is welcomed into the costume workshop of the Dutch National Ballet.

To make sure that the design is as authentic as it can get, the designers collaborate with the Dutch National Ballet, considered to be one of the top 5 ballet companies of the world.

Step 2. The famous ballerina, Nancy Burer tries out different poses in the photo studio. Nancy Burer not only posed en pointe for this graphic but she also wore one of their amazing handmade tutus. The tutu was designed at the Dutch National Ballet and hand crafted in their studio.

Step 3. Ready, steady…hold it!

Step 4. The design is tweaked. Time is taken going back and forth to refine the colours. The ballet shoes need to be a little more ballet pink please!

Step 5. Now the legs are too pink! What to do?

Step 6. Finally the first production run is ready to start.

Step 7. Now the scene is set to ensure the product photo is up to par. High-quality, beautiful product photography is a must! Showcasing products with excellent images can also be the difference between a conversion and no sale at all.
