THE MAKING OF OUR MOTHER’S DAY GIVEAWAY FLOWER FIELDS DUVET SET

This Duvet Set is part of the whimsical linen collection by Dutch brand SNURK.

Duvet covers with an all-over flower print are available everywhere, so the challenge was to find something quite unique that would stand apart from the rest – and we think SNURK has done just that with this gorgeous, summery and very realistic duvet set!

Today, we’ve decided to give you a little peek behind the scenes, of the making of the design for this print.

First the search was on for beautiful wild flowers, fruits and herbs. They were found here and there; at the shop ‘Bloemen op Locatie’, in the local market, at the auction in Aalsmeer, on the side of the road, even an unguarded front yard 🙂

Now it is time to play in Theo’s attic.

Question…shall we start by arranging them like a bouquet? No, more randomly is way more fun. Let’s go for a scattered effect!

Actually each cutting was placed very carefully. Once the desired look was achieved it was then time to get the image print ready.

Fortunately, image editor Theo is very patient and has a steady hand. It took a week of very hard work to optimize all the little flowers in Photoshop and here is the finished result – hope you like it as much as we do!
